MAKE A DONATION
Your donation will contribute to the design, construction, and upkeep of a memorial statue of Emil J. Kapaun at the Kansas Statehouse in Topeka, ensuring that his legacy will last for generations to come.
For processing purposes, you will be redirected to a Diocese of Wichita donation page dedicated solely to this project.

More details about your donation are provided below.
IMPORTANT DONATION DETAILS
All funds for the project will come from private donations such as yours.

Charitable Donation Information:
The Department of Administration for the State of Kansas has entered into a preliminary agreement with the Chaplain Kapaun Memorial Committee and the Catholic Diocese of Wichita that all donations will be processed by the Catholic Diocese of Wichita’s 501(c)(3) and kept in a separate account solely for the purposes of the Chaplain Kapaun Memorial project, delineated in Senate Bill 431 of the 2023-2024 Session. This allows your gift to be recognized by the IRS as a charitable donation while not burdening the State with the day-to-day administration of the fund.

Your bank or credit card statement will show a charge to “The Catholic Diocese of Wichita,” but 100% of the donation will go to the Chaplain Kapaun Memorial Fund.

"This is the valor we honor today -- an American soldier who didn’t fire a gun, but who wielded the mightiest weapon of all, a love for his brothers so pure that he was willing to die so that they might live."
